INSPIRATION
My inspiration is my life, my imagination, and my journey. From the time I was in High School, even before, I would love to draw people. I explored so many art techniques that I fell in love with enamels. Once I started my Art teaching career, my students became my focus. I started an Art Organization called the Western Reserve Artist Association and ran that in a local community for 15 years. So my inspiration is also to promote other artists on their journeys and have events and display their works in my Gallery in Twinsburg, Ohio. and on line.
TECHNIQUE
Being trained as a certified Art Educator, I explored many techniques and processes. From metal smithing, enameling, weaving and fiber sculpture, to drawing, color pencil, pastels and painting. I love them all; watercolor, acrylic and my favorite is Oil. I have also studied various beading techniques for jewelry making. I like to explore process techniques like Japanese Gyotaku fish painting and the various possibilities with Pouring art. I am currently pursuing a degree in Art Therapy, as I work on developing a program using Art for Healing in workshops and private explorations.
